BOOM! 2024 OL Josh Aisosa Commits to Oklahoma

The Sooners picked up their 19th commitment of the 2024 cycle, as Joshua Aisosa announced his pledge today. The three-star offensive lineman chose the Sooners over Iowa State, Tulsa, and others. The 6’5” 300 lb offensive lineman is Bill Bedenbaugh’s third get this cycle, as Aisosa joins Eugene Brooks and Isaiah Autry. Aisosa plays his high school football for the Edmond Santa Fe Wolves. He is the #1 ranked offensive lineman in the state of Oklahoma and the 12th-ranked player in the state per 247 Sports. Aisosa visited the Sooners on July 28th, and now a little over a week later, he is committed.



Aisosa spoke to the Crimson Captain about what it was about Oklahoma that made him pick the Sooners saying, “The coaches. They have been treating me like family since the day they met me. Coach B is an amazing person once you get to meet him and he’s also known for being one of the best coaches at putting OL in the NFL. Also, the location things have been happening recently at home and my mom wants me to stay close so it all ended up working out. And also the legacy Oklahoma is one of the most winning programs of all time and I want to be a part of that.”


Aisosa talked about his recent visit to Oklahoma and how it helped provide further clarification that it was where he wanted to be saying, “I met with all the other commits there and they had nothing but great things to say about the coaches and the school. I also got to meet the coaches on a deeper level and really got to develop some relationships there. It all made sense that I should be there.”


Joshua Aisosa plays offensive tackle for Edmond Santa Fe but he has the versatility to play guard as well. He told the Crimson Captain what he will bring to Norman saying, “A smart OL that can play all positions and will work hard to end up a starter and eventually in the NFL.”


The offensive lineman said he was looking forward to, “Being a part of the family and being the next great Sooner.”
