Catching Up With Kevin Sperry

We were able to chat with 2025 QB commit Kevin Sperry on Saturday on a few different topics:

Q: How is the process going of getting settled into Carl Albert/Midwest City?

"It has been great, really smooth transition. I love all of my teammates and coaches and I’m looking forward to the season. My family loves it down here as well."

Q: How often do you plan on getting down to the OU campus this fall during the season?

"As much as possible. I’m trying to make all of the home games for sure."

Q: What have you done and what have the Carl Albert coaches done to help you make the transition to a new school and new teammates?

"The Coaches are helping me with the new plays and just have made it a family atmosphere for everyone. My teammates are hardworking and we are all working toward the same goal."

Q: Outside of your teammates, who are some other guys you'd like to see join you in OU's '25 class?

"Nate Roberts, Alex Shieldnight, Isaiah Mozee, Michael Fasusi, Ty Haywood, Owen Hollenbeck, and many others."

Q: Which do you prefer: being recruited or being the one who is recruiting other players to join you?

"I would rather be the one doing the recruiting and getting the best guys for our class. It’s a blessing to be in this position for sure."

Q: We'll wrap this up with a couple of fun non-football questions. What's your favorite type of ice cream? And what type of music do you listen to most?

"My mom makes sure that we go to Baked Bear in Midwest City at-least once a week. I love to get a ice sandwich with Nutella cookie on top and brownie on bottom with salted caramel ice cream.
I listen to worship music all the time."

Thanks to Kevin for taking the time to chat with us!
