Recruiting Note - Bryant Wesco and Wrapping up OU's 2024 WR Class

Sourced Note

There are a few different ways things could end going with OU's 2024 WR class, so let's talk about what's likely to happen.

Zion Kearney visited Texas A&M last weekend. Our sources don't anticipate there being a decommit or breakup between Kearney and OU, but if that were to happen then I would anticipate Emmett Jones immediately turning to TJ Moore to take that spot.

Obviously, the OU staff is still working behind the scenes on Terry Bussey and Bryant Wesco who will both have a spot in OU's class no matter what. Of those two, I would have Wesco as being the most likely to flip but even that is a remote possibility at this point. For Bussey, I don't think the Aggies' record is going to make much of an impact on his decision.

So what's the most likely way we see OU close out with their WR class in 2024?

I ultimately still believe Kearney sticks with OU, and I don't anticipate a flip from either Wesco or Bussey. TJ Moore is the wildcard. I could see him ending up in the class if something does go sideways with Kearney or if the staff finds a way to make the numbers work. Personally, I think it would be hard to say no to a WR of Moore's caliber but he could get squeezed depending on what happens at positions like safety and defensive line.

Not a lot of drama as OU gets set to wrap up recruiting for 2024 but still some varied ways things could fall over the next 2-4 weeks.
