Sourced Note
I've mentioned a few times over the last three weeks the running back rotation has left me baffled, and I brought this up with a source to try and find out what the decision making process looks like for who plays and when.
What I'm told is that Jeff Lebby maintains final say when it comes to how all the offensive players are evaluated during practice, and has centralized that control in-game as well.
Lebby has his own philosophy around deciding which backs play, and there's not always agreement between Lebby and the position coaches.
Coaches trust or don't trust different players for different reasons and it's hard to know the exact reasons for whey Sachuk and Barns in particular aren't getting more playing time to knock the rust off and get a rhythm going.
Lebby mentioned during the Cincinnati post-game press availability that Marcus Major had a very good week of practice, and there's not much else to go on from the outside looking in.
